Finally, my cellar is complete and the process of filling it can now begin. Demo'ing of the basement bedroom began a while ago and as usual life and work got in the way.
My racks and cooler were purchased from a local supplier
winecellarsolutions.ca. The owner Louis Tilley, was an incredible resource, helping me choose the right equipment and giving me a number of wonderful pointers. Louis even came through as a technical resource on both the Sunday and Monday of labour day weekend answering my rookie questions via email within minutes.
I would absolutely recommend wine cellar solutIons.ca if you are considering installing or having a cellar installed, please give Louis a call.
The construction was a good learning exercise having never done any framing or drywalling myself before. I was smart enough to call on the services of an expert (Hugo) for my electrical needs as well as his father Marc for tiling.
